NetID - Changing Account Recovery Questions
This document provides a step-by-step walk-through for changing your NetID account recovery questions. Note: These recovery questions are also used for generating a Duo bypass code.
Log into the NetID Account Modification Tool
- To begin, log into the NetID Account Modification tool at https://www.mynetid.wisc.edu/modify.
Change Account Recovery Questions
- It is recommended that once a year you update your NetID Password Recovery Questions.
- This section allows you to delete existing questions and/or add new questions for account recovery purposes. Once you have modified your questions and answered them, click the Set Password and/ or Questions button on the page to save the changes then click the Modify Account button at the bottom of the page to submit changes.
- Note: Answers are not case sensitive.
Viewing NetID Account Modification Summary Page
- After the Modify Account button is pressed, a summary page will show the changes that were made.
