UDOIT - Course Accessibility Scorecard [UW-Madison]

This document explains the Course Accessibility Scorecard in the UDOIT tool in Canvas.

UDOIT features a Course Accessibility Scorecard that is available in all Canvas courses. This interactive scorecard provides an overall accessibility score for a Canvas course and highlights specific areas where small improvements can have a big impact.

UDOIT presents an overall score for the course (shown in the image above).

Below, the scorecard gives you a breakdown of the score based on the impact to the course. You can click anywhere on the impact line to expand it and see the details.

  • If you select an item from the Issue Type column, UDOIT will take you to a screen with a filtered list of all barriers affecting the score for that issue type. 
  • To view details of the score, select the percentage score on the right (circled on the screenshot above). A screen will open with a breakdown of Critical, Moderate, and Minor barriers and successes identified by UDOIT.
