When you first create a New Quiz, the Quiz title syncs between the New Quiz and the assignment in the gradebook. However, any subsequent edits to the title in New Quizzes do not sync to the assignment. You have to manually edit the assignment/gradebook title to make sure the quiz name and assignment name match.

If you do not manually change the title in the assignment to match the New Quiz name, it can cause confusion for students and for instructors and TAs as the New Quiz name won’t match what they see in the gradebook.

If you edit the quiz name, make sure you change the name in the assignment and/or gradebook to match.
