Discussion on using Facebook and Twitter in class and on Learn@UW.
Learn@UW and Social Media -- November 8th, 1-2pm
Instructors are invited to a discussion on using Facebook and Twitter in class and on Learn@UW (for face-to-face or blended instruction).
We'll discuss some advantages (and how to avoid pitfalls) of using social media in the classroom, provide suggestions for best pedagogical practices for Facebook and Twitter, and demonstrate Twitter and Facebook widgets within a Learn@UW course site. While this session is a conversation and demonstration (not a hands-on training), references to Learn@UW how-to documentation will be provided.
