Study Completion Date This field should contain the approximate date on which all protocol activities will be complete. This may correspond with the final participant's Off Study Date. This date may be the same as the Primary Completion Date if the time points of data collection are the same for all Outcomes and Adverse Events (AEs). The Study Completion Date for multi-site UW Investigator Initiated Trials is defined for the entire study and not the local site.

Required for protocols for which UW is the responsible party for the ClinicalTrials.gov record.

When a protocol is first created, the "Anticipated" option should be selected. The "estimated" study completion date is the date that the researchers think will be the study completion date.
The Study Completion Date should be updated to the date on which the last participant in a clinical study was examined or received an intervention/treatment to collect final data for the primary outcome measures, secondary outcome measures, and adverse events (that is, the last participant's last visit). This field is to be completed for all studies that require registration to ClinicalTrials.gov.
