Perceptive Experience - Searching for and viewing documents
Perceptive Experience is the HTML5 web client for the Imaging Service at UW-Madison. This document details how to use Perceptive Experience to find and view documents.
Log into Perceptive Experience and choose "Documents" from the home page.
A list of views available to you will display on the left-hand side of the page. Click the view that you'd like to open.
Searching for documents:
To see all documents available to you for the selected view, click Search.
To search within the documents for the selected view, click Search in [view name]. Use the drop down menus to select the parameters for the search.
To add an additional constraint, click Add in the search bar.
When finished setting search parameters, click Search. A list of results will display.
Click on a document in the list to open it.
Use the toolbars at the top and bottom of the page to manipulate the document, e.g. annotate, zoom in/out, export to file/PDF, etc. Mouse over a button to see its function. If you do not have permissions to use a button, you will see it but will not be able to use it.
