Kaltura/Canvas - Using the Transcript Widget in the Kaltura Player [UW-Madison]
The Kaltura Player transcript widget is included in all Kaltura video players and displays a transcript to the right of any video that has captions when the icon 
is selected. The widget allows users to search, pop-out and download the transcript. As you watch your video you'll see the text highlight as words are spoken. You can also click on a word in the transcript to jump to that point in the video. Full documentation on the transcript widget is available here.
NOTE: The Kaltura Players were upgraded on 8/15/24. Prior to that date, a specific player had to be selected in order to have a transcript shown. After that date, all Kaltura Players include a transcript widget icon that will fly in the transcript to the right of the video. Videos embedded prior to 8/15/24 may still have the transcript shown in a box below the video.
