SIS/Service Indicators - Editing a Service Indicator

This document shows how to edit something on a service indicator, such as Term, Start Date, Code, Reason, Amount, Contact or Comment.

Note: Some SIS pages have been updated to a new user interface. Screenshots in KB documents will be updated over time to reflect the new look, but the functionality detailed below is unchanged.


Overview

You will most likely edit a service indicator only if you are fixing a mistake; otherwise, it is recommended that you 'Release' a service indicator to delete it, and Add a service indicator to create a new one.


To edit an existing service indicator on a student’s record, follow the steps below:

Step 1

From Home, select: Student Records WorkCenter, Manage Service Indicators. The Find page will display. Search for the student you want to add a service indicator for by entering their Campus ID # in the "Campus ID" field. Other search fields can be used, but Campus ID is the value you're most likely to know and its use will ensure you're accessing the correct student record. Select "Search."

Step 2

A summary of the student's service indicators will display on the Manage Service Indicators page. Find the specific service indicator you wish to edit and select its "Code" link.

Step 3

The Edit Service Indicator page will display. Change Start Date to the current.

Step 4

Edit the appropriate field(s) as advised in the "Service Indicator Page Field Definitions" section. 

Step 5

Select [OK] to save. The Manage Service Indicators page will display and will include the edited/updated service indicator.
