Steps to Removing Cisco Phones
Many groups are moving from desk phones to soft phones (Webex/Jabber) only and are looking for instructions on what to do with the phones.  This will document the steps needed before sending a phone to SWAP.
Gather MAC Address of Phone
- The VoIP Team needs to remove the phone from our phone system so it no longer retains your employees phone number and speed dials
 - How to find the MAC address
 
Submit Remove User Form
- For individual requests, please submit a Remove User Request
 - For requests of 3 or more phones, please submit a Large Move Request and send to help@doit.wisc.edu
 - Provide the VoIP Team with the MAC address of the phone stating you only want the phone removed
 
Contact Campus Partners to Re-purpose Phone
- There are still many departments on campus that require a desk phone. Please inquire with department leaders if they have a need for your phones
 
Send to SWAP
- Once DoIT has confirmed your phones have been removed from the system, you may send your phones to SWAP if campus partners on campus don't have a need for your phones
