Basics on MFA-Duo and why UW Madison is adopting this secure authentication process.
All WCER Faculty and Staff are eligible to enroll in MFA-Duo. At this time Graduate Students and Undergraduates are NOT eligible for enrollment. (There will be a later enrollment period for Graduate/Undergraduate Students).
There are two main methods of MFA authentication, via smart-phone or via a Duo fob/token.
The SmartPhone Android/iPhone apps are the easiest authentication method to use. If you do not have a SmartPhone, or prefer a fob/token, eligible users may contact WCER Tech Services and we will issue a fob to you.
Questions? Doit has many kb articles on the MFA/Duo project (links below). WCER Helpdesk Staff are savvy with both SmartPhone and fob/token MFA authentication methods. Please email support@wcer.wisc.edu or call 263-4333 with any enrollment concerns. If it is after-hours, DOIT help desk may be able to assist, phone 264-HELP (however DOIT cannot issue users a fob; obtain a fob from Tech Services)
