Welcome to Morgridge Hall 

Morgridge Hall is the home to the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS), the Data Science Institute, and the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics (BMI). It is named after esteemed philanthropists and UW alumni John and Tashia Morgridge.

Morgridge Hall is a hub for high-tech, cross-disciplinary learning and collaboration. It will ensure that students, faculty, and industry experts can discover, solve problems, and lead in a world that is moving forward at the speed of innovation. 

Morgridge Hall is located at 1205 University Ave., the corner of University and Orchard Street, directly across from the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.

It is located on two of the busiest intersections for student traffic and is a major thoroughfare for students in this neighborhood of campus. It serves students with a variety of resources including our own coffee shop, Ground Truth.

This LEED Platinum Certified building is eight stories tall and contains 13 classrooms, a learning center, student commons and library, and offices for nearly 500 CDIS faculty, staff, advisors, and graduate students. 

Building Hours 

Generally, the building hours of Morgridge Hall are:

• Monday-Thursday: 7:00am - 9:30pm.
• Friday: 7:00am - 7:00pm.
• Saturday: 12:00pm-7:00pm (Closed Badger Game Saturdays) 
• Sunday: 12:00pm - 9:30pm.

Closed to the public during State Holidays.
