Service-Based Pricing Programs & Policies
What are service-based programs and why are they included in the PDC portfolio?
A service-based pricing program is a degree/major, capstone certificate, or special student program consisting of individual courses or a series of courses designed to provide students with a specific set of competencies, operating within either the online/distance or market-based designation of the service-based pricing tuition structure.
SBPP and PDC
Most service-based pricing programs (SBPP) are included in the PDC portfolio or work closely with the PDC team. PDC programs are:
- Post-baccalaureate
- Offered in flexible formats
- For career advancers, career changers, or those who want to jump-start their career
- Meeting market demand
Departments offering PDC programs must have a willingness to grow enrollments, follow marketing and recruitment best practices, recognize adult learners have needs and goals, and implement initiatives to ensure a positive student experience.
