Where do I start if I am interested in getting services (project management, marketing, recruitment, etc.) from PDC/DCS?

Contact your assigned project management and coordinator to inquire about specific services. In the meantime, review the PDC Services and Structure section to get an overview of the types of services provided to PDC programs.

Can PDC/DCS help me plan a webinar?

The project management team can assist PDC programs with webinar logistics so your team can focus on content development. Learn more in the Webinar and Videos section.

What data can PDC/DCS provide for my program review?

There are a variety of reports our team can access, including reports built by DCS as well as reports generated by the Graduate School and Data, Academic Planning & Institutional Research (DAPIR).

How do I request market research for my program?

The Project Management team provides market research support, primarily market demand, tuition analysis, and job outlook trends. Visit the Market Research section to learn more.

PDC Community of Practice

What is the PDC CoP?

The PDC Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative space for professionals involved in managing and supporting PDC programs. Visit the Community of Practice: What is a Community of Practice section to learn more.

Who should attend the PDC Community of Practice sessions?

The PDC CoP is open to all professionals involved in managing and supporting graduate programs, with a focus on PDC programs. Contact the PDC project manager to see if attending the PDC Community of Practice would be a good fit for you.

PDC Program Page

Can my program be added to the pdc.wisc.edu website?

The project management team manages development of new PDC Program Pages and sunsetting of old PDC Program Pages based on each program's status in Lumen/governance. Contact the PDC program project manager with questions about the status of your program page.

I would like to make changes to my PDC program page. Who do I contact?

If you see anything that needs updating on your program's PDC page, please submit your changes using the PDC Program Page Change Form.

I want to add a new student testimonial to my PDC Program Page or other marketing and recruitment materials. How do I share a student success story?

Please submit student testimonials via the PDC Program Page Change Form. Upload the following documents to the Optional Testimonial Section:

  1. PDF of testimonial(s) from student or alumni
  2. Headshot or photo of student/alumni
  3. PDF of signed UW talent release form

Salesforce Access & Training

What is Salesforce?

Salesforce is a customer relationship management (CRM)  tool PDC to track every contact we have with our prospective students. Visit the Salesforce section to learn more.

Who typically gets access to Salesforce?

DCS and PDC program staff, typically program coordinators and graduate advisors, use Salesforce track interactions with prospective students (i.e. emails, phone conversations, notes, etc.). Visit the Salesforce section to learn more.

How do I get access to Salesforce?

Becoming a Salesforce user is optional for PDC program staff, though most programs choose to leverage it for tracking and documenting interactions with prospective students. Contact your assigned project manager and coordinator to inquire about getting access to Salesforce. 

What can I do in Salesforce?

Salesforce has many uses. The primary use is to track interactions with prospective students (i.e. emails, phone conversations, notes, etc.). Data from Salesforce is used to aid business decision-making relating to student recruitment. Visit the Salesforce section to learn more.

Virtual Open House

What is the Graduate School Virtual Open House (VOH)?

Prospective graduate students are invited to this interactive online event hosted on Zoom and Canvas. Typically held twice a year — once in the fall and again in the spring — the UW–Madison Graduate Programs Virtual Open House (VOH) offers insights and information about applying to and attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Visit the Virtual Open House section to learn more.

How can my program participate in the next Virtual Open House?

The PDC Project Management team contacts PDC program staff approximately 4-6 weeks before each Virtual Open House, inviting them to participate and submit materials.

Where can I direct prospective students interested in signing up?

The Graduate Programs Virtual Open House website provides more details on the open house and a registration link to upcoming events.

When is the Virtual Open House held?

The VOH is typically held the 2nd Thursday in October and the 3rd Thursday in February. Visit the Graduate Programs Virtual Open House section to learn more.
