Platform R: Maintenance Schedule

 

Overview

Information regarding Platform R's HPC Cluster and Research Zone maintenance cadence.

Platform R

  1. Patching occurs daily at 5am. Nodes without running jobs are updated and rebooted. Any running jobs will not be impacted.

Research Zone

  1. Patching occurs on the first Thursday of every month between 8am to ~10am. Any currently running jobs will be terminated, please plan accordingly. 
    1. Schedule for 2026
      1. August 6th
      2. September 3rd
      3. October 1st
      4. November 5th
      5. December 3rd

Critical Patches

  1. In the event that we, the Platform R team, determine a critical patch is necessary to address outside of these standard cadences, we will notify all users via email prior to applying the fix as this will cause every host to reboot.
