• Zoom no longer supports computer/mobile app versions older than 5.3.0 starting 08/06/22   Aug 4, 2022, 10:53 PM CDT
  

  On August 6, 2022, Zoom will retire significantly older computer Zoom application versions, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, Virtual Room Connector, SDK, and VDI to address a security vulnerability.

• New Minimum Zoom Version Requirement Effective July 21, 2022   Jul 8, 2022, 4:48 PM CDT
  

  Effective July 21, 2022, the minimum version requirement for the Zoom computer and mobile application will be updated from 5.8.6 to 5.10.0. All UW-Madison Zoom accounts and individuals attending UW-Madison Zoom hosted meetings will be required to use version 5.10.0 or later.

• Zoom for Government Users Impacted by Consumer Zoom Meeting Setting   Apr 12, 2022, 5:06 PM CDT
  

  UW-Madison Zoom users who invite Zoom for Government (ZfG) users to their meeting may need to modify their meeting settings to allow ZfG users to attend their meeting via the web.

• New Minimum Zoom Desktop/Mobile App Version Requirement Effective Feb 17, 2022   Apr 12, 2022, 2:41 PM CDT
  

  Effective February 17, 2022, the minimum version requirement for the Zoom computer and mobile application will be updated from 5.6.3 to 5.8.6. All UW-Madison Zoom accounts and individuals attending UW-Madison Zoom hosted meetings will be required to use version 5.8.6 or later.

• Secure Zoom Accounts Required to Use Zoom Desktop/Mobile Version 5.6.3 or Later   Oct 5, 2021, 11:28 AM CDT
  

  Effective October 5, 2021, all UW-Madison Secure Zoom accounts will be required to use a Zoom desktop/mobile client version of 5.6.3 or later.
