What's new with Learn@UW?

Discussion Notifications by Subscription
• Subscribe to discussion forums, topics, and message threads so that you receive email notifications when there are new posts.
IM (Instant Messaging)
• Use the instant messaging ("IM") course navigation bar link to send and receive instant messages from classmates and friends in Learn@UW.
Mobile Web
• Read, compose, and reply to discussion board messages from your mobile device.
• Interface now branded specifically for UW-Madison.
Audio recording
• Instructors record and attach audio within Learn@UW tools. (Example: Leave feedback on a dropbox assignment.)
Grading
• Blind grading - hides student names while grading to help remove bias.
• Grade by question instead of by student.
• Weight by points - automatically calculates and adjusts the weights of each item according to their point values.
Release Conditions
• New release conditions/triggers for user enrollment date in a course and last course access date.
Course Design Checklist
• Instructor task lists for course set up. Especially helpful for first-time instructors or for brand new courses.

• A new link in the navigation bar to Google Apps. For more information on UW-Madison Google Apps service, please see http://www.doit.wisc.edu/googleapps/.
