The Engage ordering period for the spring 2027 semester has been set!
Kaltura - Automatic Human Captioning and Machine Extended Audio Descriptions Enabled [UW-Madison] 2026-08-24 16:20
As of August 24th, 2026, Kaltura will add human-generated captions and computer-generated extended audio descriptions for all videos based on the following triggers:
Canvas - Legacy ePortfolio Transition to New Portfolio Tool 2026-08-13 16:06
Instructure has introduced a new Portfolio tool in Canvas. The legacy ePortfolios tool will be retired on December 30, 2026.
Engage - eReader Transition to VitalSource [UPDATED] 2026-09-15 10:03
VitalSource recently purchased RedShelf, the vendor of the eReader previously used for Engage eTexts. Because of this, the Engage eReader was transitioned to VitalSource's eReader on Friday, May 15 (from 9:30-10:30 AM). Most users will find the overall reading experience familiar, and all Engage digital materials continue to integrate seamlessly with Canvas. However, there are some differences in features and workflows that instructors and students should review before the start of the fall semester.
