Why UW? I chose UW Health because of the opportunities the HSPAL program offers and the legacy of the program. UW is known for producing high quality pharmacy leaders for the past 60 years, which provides a vast and extensive supportive alumni network. The opportunities from operation rotations in various settings, Interim Manager, and longitudinal projects have set me up to go into the career field to be an impactful leader in the healthcare industry.

Why UW? I decided to come to UW Health because of its ability produce highly qualified pharmacy leaders, and the great sense of community within the staff and residents. The early exposure to administrative activities, personalized mentorship, advising, and opportunities to lead initiatives that will impact the entire health system provide a unique opportunity to HSPAL residents. Additionally, when I started my residency search, I knew I wanted to be at a program that was going to challenge me to become the best resident I can be while supporting me throughout my time in the program. The genuine relationships I experienced and saw between the staff and residents throughout the interview process spoke volumes of the culture within UW Health and I am happy to be able to be a part of this team now! I look forward to seeing how I grow over my two years within the UW Health HSPAL program and know that all the experience I will gain during this program will set me up for whatever direction my career may go in the future.
