Why UW? UW Health has a progressive pharmacy practice model where pharmacists are involved in almost every aspect of patient care. The program is structured to set the resident up for success by providing a plethora of engaging rotation opportunities and a unique decentralized staffing model. The preceptors are also highly involved in resident development and provide mentorship in a variety of roles. After working with the oncology team during my PGY1, I knew that this team would be the best place for me to continue my training and growth as a specialized clinical pharmacist.
