Kate Hartkopf's practice interests include ambulatory pharmacy and leadership. She is an ASHP Guest Surveyor for PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Residency Programs and is on the Ambulatory Care Advisory Board of PSW. Kate serves on the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy Assessments Committee and is a member of the Dane County Care Transitions Coalition. Her current projects include evaluation of the impact of pharmacists in primary care and program dashboard refinement, identification and implementation of pharmacy technician roles in ambulatory care clinics, and development of infrastructure for regular communication across specialty services (PA teams, clinic pharmacists, specialty mail service pharmacists and technicians). Her research Interests include training and development, implementation and advancement of pharmacist services in the ambulatory care setting, and patient education principles.
