Current Projects/Initiatives:  USP 800 and USP 797 compliance; Infusion Pump Interoperability 

Research Interests: Maintaining EMR database integrity for safe medication use

 

Kerry Goldrosen, RPh, PharmD, BCPS

Current Projects/Initiatives:  Advancing Preceptor Development at UW Health, launching the Scholarship Committee to advance professional practice and innovation. Advancing ambulatory Pharmacy Practice documentation and tools in our EMR.

Current Projects/Initiatives: Implementing and enhancing antimicrobial stewardship functionality in the electronic medical record, Improving VTE re-assessment. Preventing acute kidney injury in pediatric patients

Research Interests: Clinical decision support, optimizing the electronic medical record to streamline and advance pharmacy practice

 

Sara Pivovar, PharmD

Position: Supervisor, Pharmacy Informatics

Education/Post-Graduate Training: University of Wisconsin-Madison (Pre- Pharmacy, PharmD)

Organizational Involvement: PSW (Informatics and Technology Advisory Group), ASHP, HIMSS

Current Projects/Initiatives:  Streamlining pharmacist workflows and documentation practices in the hospital and clinic settings to maximize pharmacist impact on patient outcomes and enhancing transitions of care.

Research Interests: Outcomes associated with utilizing the electronic health record to guide best practice and evidence-based medicine


Mike Reed, RPh, BCOP, BCPS

Position: Clinical Pharmacist Oncology and Informatics

Education: BS Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy 

Organizational Involvement: UW Madison School of Pharmacy clinical instructor lecturing in both Oncology and Informatics classes. Resident Advisor for PGY-1 and Oncology PGY2 speciality residency, Preceptor for Oncology PGY-2 Inpatient BMT rotation and Drug and Disease State rotation. Preceptor for Informatics PGY-2 Electronic Medical Record rotation. Member Vizient University Health System Consortium Pharmacy Network Cancer Care Committee (CCC). Founding member

PSW Informatics and Technology Advisory Group.

Current Projects/Initiatives: Optimization of pharmacist EMR tools for monitoring and documentation, transition BMT regimens to ambulatory, clinic pharmacist expansion, electronic prescribing of controlled substances, adaptive decision support for clinicians.

Research Interests: BMT pharmacy practice inpatient and ambulatory, EMR optimization for pharmacists, pharmacy monitoring and documentation, adaptive decision support, use of EMR to support BMT care, medication reconciliation, organizational structures and team dynamics, pharmacy management of oncology patient care locally and in patient homes, expansion of pharmacist speciality practice

 

Dan Ruhland, PharmD
