Guide: Page Anchors
This document provides instructions on how to create "On This Page" navigation and Anchors.
How to create On This Page Navigation (Anchors) On this page (frequently referred to an anchors on the top of a page) allows users to quickly advance to a particular place of information on a page. On this page navigation displays information based on the level of header used on a page. If you want to display Header 2 and Header 3 information, all Header 2s and Header 3s will appear on your On This Page (Anchor) listing. Put your cursor where you want the anchor list to be located (typically at the top of the page) Select the “Insert/Edit Formatted Table” Select “On this page Navigation” from the drop-down. For this example, we want the navigation to breakdown all parts of the requirements tab, so that is what is checked in the box. Click “OK.” The “On This Page Navigation” will show up in the edit box with the options that you selected within the box in step 5; it will not show what the anchors are. Click “OK” to save and then you can see the anchors. Finished product: Manual Anchors Create the content on your page. Select the heading you want the anchor to navigate to. Select the “Anchor” from the toolbar. Give your Anchor a name:
NOTE: There cannot be any spaces in the "anchor name." Use either hyphens (-) or eliminate all spaces completely. Ex: "Chapter1" or "Chapter-1"
Select the text that viewers will click on to navigate to the previously selected Anchor.

Click the “Link” button on the toolbar.
Select the “Link to an Anchor” option by clicking on the radio button and select which Anchor you want to direct to.
Click the green OK.
Click OK to save on the page.
