Canvas - Known Issue - Canvas New Analytics Incomplete Data and Data Lag [UW-Madison]
Data is not flowing into Canvas New Analytics as it is supposed to. Data lag is supposed to be no more than 24 hours, but sometimes it is taking several weeks. There is also incomplete data in Canvas New Analytics.
Instructors are supposed to be able to compare graded and access data in Canvas for students in their course through New Analytics. Instructure, the company behind Canvas, has identified an issue with severe data lag and incomplete data in Canvas New Analytics. No fix has yet been identified.
Affects
Canvas New Analytics has old and/or incomplete data and instructors should not rely on New Analytics.
Workarounds
Instructors can still get a lot of data from the Canvas Gradebook and from things like Context Cards. This kb has more information about other sources of analytics in Canvas.
