What makes UW Health’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program unique?
Our pharmacist staffing model allows residents to independently provide direct patient care throughout our program in both the ED and other rotations. With pharmacist's staffing in the ED 24/7 we are a relied upon resource within the department and residents have endless opportunities to get involved and also rotate at various times of day. The fact that we manage both pediatric and adult emergency departments adds additional opportunities for learning.
What goals do you have for residents who complete your residency program?
My goal for my residents is that they feel as confident and impactful as I do when working in the ED.
What is your best advice for prospective residency candidates?
Interviews are important but remember to relax, slow down, and be your genuine self.
