FA - Student Aid Index (SAI)

A number that determines a student’s eligibility for federal student aid. A student's SAI is calculated by the Department of Education based on the financial information  a student, their parents, and/or spouse provide on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The lower the SAI, the higher level of financial need a student has. SAIs can range from -1,500 to 999,999.
