Kaltura - Known Issue - Vertical Black Bars on Embedded Video in Canvas [UW-Madison]

Kaltura videos embedded in Canvas prior to 8/15/24 may have vertical black bars on the sides of the video.

    The full video is still shown, but vertical black bars appear on the sides.

    Affects

    Videos embedded in Canvas prior to 8/15/24 using the Embed Kaltura Video tool.

    Status

    This behavior will remain until the videos are re-embedded using a new Kaltura player.

    Workaround

    Re-embed the video using the Embed Kaltura Video tool in Canvas, which will use the updated Kaltura player.  Changing the embed size in html will not remove the bars.
