Why UW? I chose to continue my training at UW Health because of the robust antimicrobial stewardship program/ID department, incredible preceptors and alumni network, and a large residency class that becomes like family! It is one of the best places to lean into uncertainty and absorb the wealth of knowledge the preceptors, other healthcare providers, and patients have to share.

Why UW? I was drawn to UW Health early in my pharmacy school career due to my interest in research. I was fortunate to have wonderful research experiences with both UW Health pharmacists, and residents. After personally seeing the growth of the residents I worked with, I knew this program was special. UW Health pushes pharmacy residents to work at the top of their license, creating confidence and independence through a strong decentralized staffing model. There is a strong support system of preceptors who are always there when you have questions or need help. I knew the UW Health pharmacy residency program would mold me into the best possible clinical pharmacist I could be.
