New Employee Onboarding
All new employees who are beginning their employment at the Division of Extension will need to complete required tasks. Additional onboarding tasks will need to be completed based on whether or not the individual is physically located on the UW-Madison campus, if they are in a programming role, or if they will be supervising other employees in their role. Supervision is one of the most influential roles you can hold within Extension. How you support, challenge, and develop your supervisee(s) can exponentially impact employee retention, program & policy development, and team morale.

Supervisor Resources
To ensure a new employee's successful transition to their job, the Division of Extension has defined all required and recommended onboarding tasks that need to be completed by new employees and their supervisors. The Supervisor Onboarding Task List and resources provided in the site below outlines the steps you should complete when onboarding a new employee. These should be started 1-2 weeks prior to a new employee's first day of work.
