ETS - YouTube - Submitting video to Extension's YouTube Channels

Review the instructions in this article on how to submit a video for either Extension's primary internal or public facing YouTube channels.

How to Submit Content to Extension YouTube Channels

Background

Submitting content to the Extension Main or Internal YouTube channels is a multi-part process. One part involves uploading your video and supporting files (Description, Thumbnail image, captions) to Google Drive, while the other part involves submitting your video via a Google Form.

Instructions

  1. Create a folder in Google Drive. The name of this folder should include the video title and date the video is being submitted for upload. Use this template to create an information and description file for your video: YouTube Video Details Template (make a copy). Please only include one video per folder.
  2. Include a thumbnail in this folder for your video. You can use this template to assist you in creating a thumbnail for your video: Extension Video Thumbnail Template (make a copy).
  3. Share your folder with edtech@extension.wisc.edu
  4. Fill out this upload request form: Extension YouTube video upload request

If you have multiple videos to submit, please submit each video separately. This will help us to keep track of submissions, and keep things organized.

Please note that this process takes on average two weeks, depending on current workload, video audience (internal or public) and whether you require draft captions.
