Hiring - Direct Hires
Open recruitment for Academic Staff, Limited Appointments, University Staff, and Temporary Employees is not required when certain waiver criteria are met. All waivers of the recruitment process must be approved by OHR before the position is offered. Hiring Managers should follow these instructions to complete a Direct Hire. Please allow at least two weeks from submitting the RTF for processing.
Considerations for Direct Hires
Please note the following considerations for direct hires:
- All direct hires must be approved by OHR before the position is offered.
- Direct hires must meet one of the criteria in Direct-Hire Waiver Reasons.
- Extension HR requires a current resume to be submitted for each direct hire/waiver.
