Civil Rights 101 Training - Policy

This policy informs all Division of Extension employees of the requirement to complete the Civil Rights 101 Training.

Rationale/Purpose of the Policy 

This policy informs all Division of Extension employees of the requirement to complete the Civil Rights 101 Training. The training informs Extension employees of our obligation to comply with federal non-discrimination laws and policies that apply to our programs and activities as a recipient of federal funding. It is important that all employees understand these obligations, even those who are not directly involved in educational programming.

Scope

This policy applies to all Division of Extension employees except for student hourly employees.

Policy Details

All Division of Extension employees are required to complete the Civil Rights 101 Training. New employees must complete the Civil Rights 101 Training within 30 days of their first day of work.

The training is valid for a period of three years from the date of completion. Employees will be notified by the Office of Access, Inclusion, and Compliance (OAIC) when they are required to renew their training.

Completing this training is required for employees to be eligible for future pay increases.
